Knee Injections
Orthovisc / Synvisc
Knee injections are treatments delivered directly into the knee joint to reduce pain, lower inflammation, or improve joint lubrication. They are most commonly used to treat knee osteoarthritis, tendonitis, bursitis, or other joint injuries when rest and over-the-counter medications are not enough.
Corticosteroid injections are fast-acting anti-inflammatory shots that reduce swelling, stiffness, and pain within 24 to 48 hours. Relief typically lasts from several weeks to about 3 to 6 months.
Hyaluronic Acid shots inject a gel-like substance that mimics natural synovial fluid to lubricate and cushion the joint. They work best for mild-to-moderate osteoarthritis and can provide relief lasting 6 months or longer.
